I have fallen in love with herbs.
I have always had the odd herb in my garden - the old staples like rosemary and lavender.
Other herbs, such as mint, I have struggled to grow - in fact it was a family joke for a bit that "Mum can even kill mint" - insinuating that nobody else ever could kill mint apart from me.
However, since settling down in my patch of paradise in Mannum, I have discovered that I can indeed, grow mint and many other fantastic herbal plants.
I have quite a list of these gorgeous herbs growing now - rosemary, lavender, chamomile, lemon balm, lemon verbena, several kinds of mint (yes!!), calendula, basil, coriander, oregano, parsley, tulsi, wormwood, tansy, yarrow, sage, white sage, borage, comfrey - quite a list when you write it down.
Not only do these beautiful plants grace my garden, they have sparked a new interest in their medicinal properties as well as their culinary uses.
